Cultural Significance:

The old name of this village was Vidyunagar. Here is the Shringar Sthali of Radha Rani.Sri Krishna used todo Shringar of Radha Rani and in turn she used to glow like light – vidyut. Krishna and Balaram got on the chariot to leave for Mathura with Akrur at this place. The Gopis began to fall on the ground in distress of the impending separation and they were not allowing Akrur to take away Krishna from Vrindavan to Mathura.Even they caught Akrur once to beat him. It is said that suddenly lightening had fallen from the sky andGopis got unconscious, and when they regained consciousness, they found that Krishna had gone toMathura. The name Bijwari is due to fall of lightening. Akrur took the route to move out from Nandgaon was
