Jaipur Mandir,Barsana

Temple Owned and managed by Devasthan Vibhag Rajasthan

Built in 1813 by Maharaja Madho Singhji of Jaipur State. The Maharani was a devout worshiper of Lord Krishna. This magnificent temple on the top of Brahma hill is built of red stone from Bansi Pahadpur of Bharatpur District. Floral patterns, ornamental work, mosaic work, artifices, pillars, brackets, wall panels and the architectural perfection of the temple are certainly the unique features. Around the main campus there are very high and strong ramparts and residential houses with kitchens for the Pujaris. An elegant carving work has been done on the stones and this would not be an exaggeration to say that this temple is one of the most beautiful temples of North India from the sculptural point of view. The temple is administered by Rajasthan government, Devsthan Vibhag.
